What is Access Account?
Access Account is a Savings Account without any chequebook facility designed for individuals only. The minimum opening balance for this account is BDT 20,000.
Should I receive chequebook with my Access Account?
No, you will not receive a chequebook with your Access Account. You will be able to carry out your transactions through your ATM card.
Do I have to pay monthly/annual fees for my Access Account?
You have to pay an annual fee of BDT 150 + 15% VAT for your ATM card.
Shall I enjoy Interest on the deposit I keep in my Access Account?
Yes, you will enjoy interest on the deposit you keep in your Access Account. The interest rate and the conditions applying to it will be similar to that of our Savings Account.
Am I required to keep a minimum balance in order to earn interest on the deposit that I keep in my Access Account?
Yes, you are required to maintain a minimum balance of BDT 100,000 in order to enjoy interest on your deposits.

Can I deposit or withdraw money after banking hours?
Yes, you can deposit and withdraw money (cash or cheque) absolutely 24 hours a day through our Automated Teller Machines (ATM).

Yes, you can transfer funds to other accounts. You will have to visit any of our branches during baking hours to transfer funds.
Can I use branches to withdraw cash?
No, you cannot use branches to withdraw cash.
Can I use branches to deposit cash?
Yes, you can use branches to deposit money.
Can I settle my utility bills through my Access Account?
Yes, you can settle your utility bills through your Access Account. You will have the flexibility to pay your bills through any of our ATMs, BillsPay services, or through our Call Centre.

Yes, you can use your Access Account statement to have a Credit Card from Standard Chartered Bank.
